A Little Love to Hang on the Wall
Some quilts just make you smile, and the Lacey Hearts Wall Hanging is one of those projects. It’s sweet without being too fussy, and it makes such a thoughtful little gift for someone special.
For this one, I used the Always fabric line by Belle of Seams Sew Me for Benartex Fabrics. Belle did an amazing job designing this line. The pearlescent shine is the perfect delicate touch. The prints work so nicely together, and I love how the different fabrics give each heart its own look while still keeping everything soft and coordinated. This would be a fun project for a baby shower, a wedding gift, or just a little something to let someone know you’re thinking about them.
There’s something extra special about giving a handmade quilt, especially when you’ve chosen the fabrics with that person in mind.
And here’s one of my favorite little gift giving tricks: when you fold a quilt for gifting, leave a small pocket between the folds. It’s the perfect spot to tuck in a card or handwritten note. It makes the whole gift feel a little more personal. I also like to tie the folded quilt with a leftover piece of binding strip. Click through the photo gallery below to see how to fold.
